A local anesthetic is used to numb the area. Once the area is numb the mole has simply shaved away until it is flush with the skin. There is no bleeding and because the skin is not cut there is no suturing required.  There is no discomfort or pain.  The skin where the mole was usually dried out in about 10 days but can take up to two weeks for large moles.   Healing depends on the size and depth of the mole, vein, tag or imperfection being removed.
